Collaborative Efforts Strengthen Quality Assurance in Higher Education

April 2024 | Apeldoorn, Netherlands

A milestone in the Internal Quality Assurance in Higher Education Institutions (IQAinAR) project was achieved during the recent partner meeting in Apeldoorn. This Erasmus+ Programme initiative, running since 2021, aims to enhance the quality of education in Azerbaijan and Russia by integrating innovative assurance systems.

Key discussions revolved around project timelines, financial management, and dissemination strategies. Participants reviewed progress in work packages, including the development of student-centered methodologies and professional training programs. Partners highlighted the importance of timely submissions for travel and budget documentation.

Research remains a cornerstone of IQAinAR. Six papers are being crafted, addressing topics such as AI’s role in education and stakeholder perceptions of quality assurance. Preliminary findings suggest promising improvements in IQA frameworks within participating HEIs.

Dissemination efforts are in full swing, with social media campaigns and newsletters engaging stakeholders. However, regional workshops in Azerbaijan require more proactive reporting and content sharing to meet project goals.

Looking ahead, the project’s final conference in Baku this November will showcase its achievements and pave the way for sustainable quality assurance practices in higher education. Despite challenges, the IQAinAR project demonstrates the power of international collaboration in advancing education standards.
