QAinAR Study Visit Concludes Successfully at UCAM, Catholic University of Murcia
From November 13 to 17, 2023, the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) hosted the IQAinAR Study Visit, a collaborative initiative funded by the Erasmus+ KA2 programme. The event brought together academic leaders and partners from institutions across Europe and Azerbaijan for a week of enriching discussions, workshops, and cultural exchange.
Highlights of the Visit:
Opening Ceremony: The event was inaugurated on November 14 with a formal welcome at UCAM's historic campus. Popular TV conducted interviews, and participants were introduced to UCAM's institutional mission and key initiatives.
Workshops and Quality Discussions: The agenda included in-depth workshops on adapting quality indicators to the specific needs of Azerbaijani institutions. Experts from UCAM and partner organizations shared insights on higher education quality standards and project updates on work packages WP1, WP2, and WP5.
Cultural Activities: Beyond academic sessions, participants explored the historic and vibrant city of Murcia through a guided tour and shared meals at local restaurants, fostering a deeper cultural connection.
Hi-Tech Innovation Hub: On November 15 and 16, the UCAM Hi-Tech Innovation Hub served as the venue for collaborative sessions, including the presentation of workgroup results and planning for upcoming project phases.
Closing and Future Plans:
The study visit concluded with reflections on the week's achievements and preparations for the next milestone: a visit to Baku, Azerbaijan. Certificates of participation were awarded, and a farewell session marked the end of a productive and inspiring week.
The IQAinAR project continues to strengthen international collaboration in advancing higher education quality standards. Special thanks to Katrin Schuette and Delia Postiglione from UCAM for their outstanding coordination.
