IQACert Specialist Programme: Institutions Begin Piloting New Training Module

In a significant step towards advancing quality assurance expertise, the piloting of a new module under the IQACert Specialist Programme has officially commenced. Designed to address diverse professional roles in education and administration, this initiative aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge for enhanced quality assurance practices.
The module, conducted entirely in English, focuses on inclusivity and adaptability, engaging faculty, administrative staff, and quality assurance professionals to test its relevance across various roles. Each participating institution has enlisted at least one examiner and one to two participants, ensuring diverse and robust feedback.

The pilot process is structured across four phases, starting with the preparation phase on September 16, 2024. During this phase, institutions receive training materials, brief instructors, and finalize participant enrollments within a week. The module delivery phase, concluding on October 7, 2024, spans one to two weeks and includes scheduled instruction and assessments. On October 7, participants and instructors will provide comprehensive feedback through standardized forms, marking the feedback collection phase. The final week is dedicated to analysis and reporting, where institutions will examine the feedback and submit detailed mini-reports to the programme coordinator.

A key component of the pilot is the mini-report, where institutions outline the module’s execution, summarize participant feedback, address challenges, and propose improvements. This feedback will inform refinements to the module before its potential rollout on a larger scale. A representative from TKTA, the programme’s coordinating body, emphasized the collaborative nature of the initiative, stating that the pilot reflects a commitment to creating a well-rounded and practical training experience.

Following the submission deadline, the mini-reports will be reviewed to identify trends and areas for improvement. Adjustments will be made to ensure the module’s success in diverse institutional settings. This initiative represents a significant step in fostering collaborative efforts for quality assurance in education and underscores a commitment to innovation and excellence in the field.
